About Horizon International School

Horizon International School is located in Jaco, Costa Rica. It's a partnership ministry of Horizon Church and HIS Pods.

Horizon Church is a non-denominational Christian church. Started in 2012, the church is led by Pastor Daniel Barret. Horizon Church now exists as one of the largest English speaking churches in the country. The ministry impact to the international community continues to grow and Horizon Church is helping to bring people to a saving knowledge of Christ and become "fully functioning followers of Jesus".

HIS Pods is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide affordable Christ centered education in a world where the Truth is in question daily. We partner with local ministries. churches, and home school communities to sponsor and supplement in with areas that receive little to no government funding.

Our Christian school is for full time students who will take classes on traditional subject matters including History, Language (English & Spanish), Mathematics, and Science. Our students are also fully immersed in learning about Jesus. Classes are all hosted and taught at Horizon Church in Jaco, Costa Rica.

Our Campus

Started by a small group of Christian believers as a non-denominational home church in 2014, Horizon Church is the only predominately English speaking church in Jaco. The new Church worship campus being used today was opened for Christmas eve service in 2019.

The church is home for many outreach ministries in the community and we are thankful to call it home for HIS Pods.
